..Cleveland filled the place with black and white for one of Cleveland's dancehall pioneers
As we move into 2010, we can add yet another sell off bash to the list of great dances this year. KC Platinum's Black and White Pisces Affair follows the 'sell off' trend started in January with Blacka's Earthstrong Bash and The Pink and White Affair in February. Ever so often, things line up 'just so' with good music, a few old familiar faces, and most importantly, nice vibes to make a great dance.
Chat 'Bout Cleveland entered the venue at about 1:30 to catch some early warm tunes provided by YHP Superdee. As the night moved on, Dailey's began to fill up as Star Temple CB spin a few tunes and give due props to the host, KC Platinum. Big up CB for letting the people know about the days of KC Soundstation, blazing the trail for the dancehall scene as we come to enjoy today.
There are a few dancehall fans in the place who can remember the days when KC Soundstation helped mold Cleveland's dancehall scene through Rueban's, The Juvade, Dad's Hall and the Cotton Club..
...but I digress, now back to the dance!
By 2:30, partygoers filled Dailey's in their black and white attire, fitting perfectly with the black and white decor (from top to bottom) as New Horizon took over the sounds and played a few tunes to bring the dance to a level of niceness. In true guest fashion, New Horizon Monk graciously acknowledged all the other sounds on deck for the bash as Organik Sound began their set and in a blink of a dancehall eye, Organik Sound brought the dance to a WHITE hot level banging out tune after tune that had the people dancing and the party moving..
Yes, the dance was nice!
Guest Sound, Excalibur from Columbus kept the party vibes and the crowd going by bringing Cleveland a few new tunes and signature dubs. Soon, party host KC platinum took over the dance and began with a heartfelt thanks to all those in the place supporting his bash.
The Cleveland masses were out in full support to wish Mr. Personality many birthday wishes. In the crowd, Platinum Family Marcia and Shaheeda, Shanna and always posh Adrienne, Uber Promoter Blacka - in the place promoting his April 17th bash, Keturah and Alexis (sans Francis, miss you Boo!), Ms. Onnie, Untouchable Crew Maggie and Sharon, Cleveland Reggae Sounds Punkie and Nunkie, Nado, Camille Eva Ready and Shay Fashion Forward - rocking the Lady Gaga shades, XXX Patrick, New Horizon Fam, Ms. Lana, Ms. Trini, Coco T, and Ms. Che. Also in the place, Craigtown Girls, House of Styles Andrea, Tamika and The Diamond Girls.
Yes, Cleveland, you missed a great one as Dailey's rocked until about 5am! But trust me, 2010 is starting off with a bang, so more great dances are coming soon. To hold you over until then, here are some pics from the bash.
Enjoy,
Bashy
