It was all about Cleveland's first theme dance as XXX Car Wash alongside Shoes Galore present the '4th Annual Pink and White Affair' at Dailey's Blue Mountain Inn Saturday. As the event landed on Valentine's Night, the Cleveland masses were feeling the love and showed much support for this event. A great time was had by all as the vibes grooved throughout the pink and white crowd until about 4am.
Star Temple CB provided partygoers with a host of lover's rock tunes to get the crowd that early warm. As the crowd enjoyed the tunes, CB turned up the tempo with a host of dancehall classics that had the crowd wanting more.
Soon, New Horizon Monk took over the sound playing a host of girl friendly tunes that got the ladies singing and swaying onto the dancefloor. As the crowd cooled down from Monk's 'signature' tune (Sam Cooke's 'I Was Born By the River'), New Horizon Powerstone took over and got the crowd in full party mode with a blazin' hip hot set including this season's hottest tune, 'Heartless' by Kanye West.
As Organik Sound started the set with a tribute to Makka B with 'Fallen Soldiers', the crowd obliged with lighters and a moment of reflection. Soon after, Organik brought the party vibes back and ripped the sounds with new tunes including the Vybz Kartel and Spice hit, 'Ramping Shop'.
Cleveland definitely represented in the theme for the event. For the ladies, Summer Body Suzy sported the ultra cute pink blouse (with white pants), while sis, Leisa Engel sported pink skinny jeans with the ultra feminine blouse, NYC Marcia in the all white pantsuit with pink accents and the standout for the evening - Lady Spyda - who decided to go against the theme with a floor length red gown. Not to be outdone, the fellas also came out in theme appropriate attire; co-host Patrick sporting the embroidered white blazer teamed with the pink and white argyle sweater, New Horizon Powerstone with the all white suit, and of course, DJ Chubby with the proper pink v neck sweater complete with tie. Trust, there were many fashion all stars in the building Saturday night - too many to mention, but Cleveland - was looking GOOD in the pink and white!
Also in the pink of things, showing their support were KC Platinum (promoting his annual Pisces Bash on March 7th), YHP Superdee and Rah, Gary (Caribbean Flavor), Coco Tea, Barbie Doll/Bashment Crew representing every time, Rich & Naw Talk Crew, Maggie and Sharon Untouchable, Tanya Classic, Craigtown Girls, Camile Eva Ready and New Horizon Doe Doe.
All in all, both Patrick and Tommy were pleased with the support for this event and want to thank all those who continue to support year after year. The Chat 'Bout this event was pure niceness! If this bash represents Cleveland's scene for 2009 then...
